History of the creation of the museum
The museum was opened on December 13, 2010 . The opening of the museum was preceded by an active work on the collection of local history, ethnographic material, museum exhibits. A search group "POISK" was created, which is actively working on the search for veterans of the Great Patriotic War; the guys are in correspondence with archives, museums; conduct ethnographic expeditions. Today the museum occupies one hall, the area of which is 48 sq. m. Currently, the museum fund has 107 items of the main fund. Currently, the museum presents the following sections of the exposition:
ethnography, which presents household items, clothing;
the past of Porechye: material has been collected about the history from the moment of the first mention in historical sources and up to 1939;
years of struggle and testing: material was collected about the events of the Second World War on the territory of the Porechsky village council;
Porechye today: overview information on the development of the Porech village council in the post-war period;
history of the school: a rich factual and illustrated material on the history of the school from the moment of its foundation is presented.
In order to replenish the funds of the museum, the school annually organizes the action “Give a thing to the museum”.
The atmosphere of the museum, its environment, each exhibit have significant opportunities for moral and emotional impact on students. They do not just broadcast this or that information, but primarily affect a person's feelings, awaken emotions and educate taste. The museum is the center of the school's research and exploration work. The Heritage Center operates on the basis of the museum.
The School Museum is a center for excursion and propaganda work: themed excursions are held in the museum. A school for young guides operates on the basis of the museum. The Museum Council organizes excursions to the museums of the Grodno region. The museum is the center of civil and patriotic education of students. The museum council, class teachers, history teachers conduct in the museum lessons of Peace, lessons of Courage and Memory, thematic meetings, holidays (receptions; in October, the pioneers "We are faithful to this Memory"), exhibitions of drawings, posters, wall newspapers on military topics, meetings with veterans of the Great Patriotic War, actions "Care" and "Veteran Lives Nearby".
